China Acyclic Amides And Their Derivatives, And Salts Thereof (Including Acyclic Carbamates) Export Price in September 2022

In September 2022, the acyclic amides and their derivatives, and salts thereof (including acyclic carbamates) price amounted to $2,983 per ton (FOB, China), falling by -4% against the previous month. Overall, the export price continues to indicate a pronounced shrinkage. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in July 2022 when the average export price increased by 33% m-o-m. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $4,318 per ton. From August 2022 to September 2022, the the average export prices remained at a lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major export markets. In September 2022, the country with the highest price was the United States ($6,695 per ton), while the average price for exports to Turkey ($1,445 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From January 2022 to September 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Saudi Arabia (+2.7%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.

In September 2022, overseas shipments of acyclic amides and their derivatives, and salts thereof (including acyclic carbamates) increased by 7.6% to 29K tons, rising for the second month in a row after two months of decline. In general, exports saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in March 2022 when exports increased by 49% m-o-m. The exports peaked in September 2022.

In value terms, exports of acyclic amides and their derivatives, and salts thereof (including acyclic carbamates) stood at $86M (IndexBox estimates) in September 2022. Overall, exports, however, showed a perceptible descent. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in March 2022 when exports increased by 26% month-to-month. The exports peaked at 108K tons in January 2022; however, from February 2022 to September 2022, the exports remained at a lower figure.

South Korea (3.8K tons), Italy (2.3K tons) and Taiwan (Chinese) (2.2K tons) were the main destinations of exports of acyclic amides and their derivatives, and salts thereof (including acyclic carbamates) from China, together comprising 29% of total exports.

From January 2022 to September 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the main countries of destination, was attained by Italy (with a CAGR of +31.7%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, the United States ($11M), South Korea ($6.9M) and Russia ($6.4M) appeared to be the largest markets for acyclic amides and their derivatives, and salts thereof (including acyclic carbamates) exported from China worldwide, together comprising 29% of total exports. These countries were followed by Japan, India, Brazil, Italy, Taiwan (Chinese), Turkey, Vietnam, France, Saudi Arabia and Australia, which together accounted for a further 39%.

Saudi Arabia, with a CAGR of +24.1%, recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of exports, in terms of the main countries of destination over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
