The average alloy steel powders import price stood at $3,076 per ton in June 2023, declining by -13.8% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price saw a mild slump. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in February 2023 when the average import price increased by 22% month-to-month. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the maximum at $4,081 per ton in July 2022; however, from August 2022 to June 2023, import prices failed to regain momentum.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In June 2023, the country with the highest price was Belgium ($13,074 per ton), while the price for Canada ($1,393 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Romania (+2.8%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

In June 2023, the average alloy steel powders export price amounted to $3,283 per ton, waning by -5.5% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the export price saw a slight contraction. The growth pace was the most rapid in May 2023 when the average export price increased by 35% month-to-month. The export price peaked at $3,965 per ton in October 2022; however, from November 2022 to June 2023, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Thailand ($7,364 per ton), while the average price for exports to Italy ($861 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Germany (+1.9%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
