The average aluminium wire import price stood at $2,502 per ton in 2022, falling by -11.4% against the previous year. Overall, the import price showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 an increase of 32%. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $2,825 per ton, and then reduced in the following year.

Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was the UK ($3,882 per ton), while the price for Romania ($2,141 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the UK (+6.4%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
