The average bovine animals; live import price stood at $1,196 per unit in 2022, dropping by -4.7% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price showed a perceptible slump. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 when the average import price increased by 37%. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the peak figure at $2,646 per unit in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.

The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 with an increase of 55% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs at 186 units in 2021, and then plummeted in the following year.
