Canned Vegetable Price in Canada (CIF) - 2023
The average canned vegetable import price stood at $2,484 per ton in September 2023, declining by -2.2% against the previous month. In general, the import price, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in December 2022 an increase of 18% against the previous month. The import price peaked at $2,542 per ton in June 2023; afterwards, it flattened through to September 2023.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Mexico ($5,009 per ton), while the price for Italy ($1,684 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From September 2022 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Mexico (+3.2%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

In September 2023, the average canned vegetable export price amounted to $3,575 per ton, with a decrease of -3.2% against the previous month. Over the last twelve months, it increased at an average monthly rate of +2.2%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in January 2023 an increase of 15% month-to-month.
