The average cereals; millet, seed export price stood at $600 per ton in July 2023, shrinking by -4.3% against the previous month. In general, the export price showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in February 2023 an increase of 21% month-to-month. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $812 per ton. From March 2023 to July 2023, the the average export prices failed to regain momentum.
Average prices varied noticeably for the major external markets. In July 2023, the country with the highest price was Malaysia ($654 per ton), while the average price for exports to Indonesia ($555 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the Philippines (+2.4%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

In July 2023, the average cereals; millet, seed import price amounted to $1,947 per ton, rising by 16% against the previous month. In general, the import price, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in November 2022 an increase of 85% month-to-month. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $2,815 per ton. From December 2022 to July 2023, the average import prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was France ($4,985 per ton), while the price for India ($1,630 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by India (+1.4%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
