In 2022, the average cosmetics import price amounted to $13,773 per ton, dropping by -10.3% against the previous year. In general, the import price continues to indicate a abrupt decline. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2017 an increase of 68% against the previous year. The import price peaked at $32,359 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Belgium ($37,057 per ton), while the price for Germany ($4,521 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
