Dairy Machinery Price in the United States (CIF) - 2022

The average dairy machinery import price stood at $6,895 per unit in 2022, waning by -35.1% against the previous year. Overall, the import price saw a noticeable descent. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2018 an increase of 17% against the previous year. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $11,256 per unit. From 2019 to 2022, the average import prices remained at a lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Finland ($77,577 per unit), while the price for Cyprus ($438 per unit) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Finland (+24.9%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

Dairy Machinery Price in the United States (FOB) - 2023

The average dairy machinery export price stood at $13,085 per unit in August 2023, surging by 9.1% against the previous month. Over the last twelve-month period, it increased at an average monthly rate of +3.9%. The growth pace was the most rapid in September 2022 when the average export price increased by 60% against the previous month. The export price peaked at $15,135 per unit in June 2023; afterwards, it flattened through to August 2023.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major overseas markets. In August 2023, the country with the highest price was China ($22,019 per unit), while the average price for exports to Australia ($8,071 per unit) was amongst the lowest.

From August 2022 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to China (+9.3%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Dairy Machinery Imports in the United States

In 2022, imports of dairy machinery into the United States soared to 3.4K units, increasing by 111% on 2021. In general, imports saw significant growth. As a result, imports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

In value terms, dairy machinery imports soared to $24M in 2022. Over the period under review, total imports indicated a prominent increase from 2019 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +8.1% over the last three-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports decreased by -18.6% against 2020 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 with an increase of 55%. As a result, imports attained the peak of $29M. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

In 2022, shipments abroad of dairy machinery was finally on the rise to reach 1.3K units for the first time since 2019, thus ending a two-year declining trend. Over the period under review, exports, however, recorded a significant curtailment. Over the period under review, the exports reached the peak figure at 3.9K units in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, dairy machinery exports expanded significantly to $17M in 2022. In general, exports, however, saw a dramatic shrinkage. The exports peaked at $41M in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
