As a result, import price reached the peak level of $101K per ton. From January 2023 to August 2023, the average import prices remained at a lower figure.
Average prices varied noticeably amongst the major supplying countries. In August 2023, the countries with the highest prices were Poland ($28,640 per ton) and Belgium ($27,581 per ton), while the price for Austria ($26,328 per ton) and Germany ($26,595 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From August 2022 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Belgium (+1.0%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
