Fluorspar Price in Russia (CIF) - 2022
The average fluorspar import price stood at $133 per ton in January 2022, declining by -30.2% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price showed a perceptible decline. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in September 2021 when the average import price increased by 18% month-to-month. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the maximum at $242 per ton in January 2021; however, from February 2021 to January 2022, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In January 2022, the country with the highest price was Kazakhstan ($415 per ton), while the price for Mongolia totaled $113 per ton.
From January 2021 to January 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Kazakhstan (-0.4%).
Fluorspar Price in Russia (FOB) - 2022
In January 2022, the average fluorspar export price amounted to $382 per ton, surging by 9.2% against the previous month. Overall, export price indicated a moderate increase from January 2021 to January 2022: its price increased at an average monthly rate of +2.2% over the last twelve-month period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on January 2022 figures, fluorspar export price increased by +94.4% against October 2021 indices. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in November 2021 an increase of 70% month-to-month. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs at $477 per ton in July 2021; however, from August 2021 to January 2022, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Azerbaijan ($740 per ton), while the average price for exports to Belarus ($278 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From January 2021 to January 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Azerbaijan (+10.0%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Fluorspar Imports in Russia
In 2022, fluorspar imports into Russia dropped to 181K tons, declining by -7.3% compared with the year before. In general, imports showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 17%. As a result, imports reached the peak of 195K tons, and then contracted in the following year.
In value terms, fluorspar imports contracted modestly to $37M in 2022. Overall, imports saw a abrupt decline. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when imports increased by 7.2% against the previous year.

Fluorspar Exports in Russia
After three years of growth, overseas shipments of fluorspar decreased by -3.8% to 9.8K tons in 2022. Over the period under review, exports, however, showed a significant expansion. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2020 when exports increased by 123%.
In value terms, fluorspar exports reduced to $3.1M in 2022. Overall, exports, however, saw significant growth. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 with an increase of 136%.
