Glass Fiber Price in Singapore (CIF) - 2022
In 2022, the average glass fiber import price amounted to $10,055 per ton, surging by 8.3% against the previous year. In general, import price indicated a remarkable increase from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +7.0% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, glass fiber import price increased by +70.1% against 2017 indices. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2019 an increase of 24%. The import price peaked in 2022 and is likely to see steady growth in the immediate term.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Japan ($18,371 per ton), while the price for Mexico ($3,535 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by China (+15.1%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, the average glass fiber export price amounted to $7,285 per ton, picking up by 2.6% against the previous year. In general, export price indicated a strong expansion from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +5.4% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, glass fiber export price decreased by -9.7% against 2018 indices. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2016 when the average export price increased by 31%. The export price peaked at $8,071 per ton in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Sweden ($8,214 per ton), while the average price for exports to Australia ($4,287 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Taiwan (Chinese) (+10.4%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Glass Fiber Imports in Singapore
For the third consecutive year, Singapore recorded decline in purchases abroad of voiles, webs, mats and other articles of glass fibers, which decreased by -2% to 7.4K tons in 2022. Over the period under review, imports faced a abrupt slump.
