In 2022, the average goats; live import price amounted to $286 per unit, with a decrease of -29.6% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, enjoyed a prominent increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 an increase of 26%. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $405 per unit, and then reduced sharply in the following year.

Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was the UK ($291 per unit), while the price for Canada amounted to $25 per unit.

From 2017 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the Netherlands (+16.2%).

In value terms, goats; live imports contracted significantly to $14K in 2022. Over the period under review, imports, however, showed a significant expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when imports increased by 139%. As a result, imports reached the peak of $21K, and then declined remarkably in the following year.
