In July 2023, the average gum arabic import price amounted to $963 per ton, therefore, remained relatively stable against the previous month. The average gum arabic export price stood at $1,326 per ton in 2022, declining by -6.9% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price saw a abrupt shrinkage. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2019 when the average export price increased by 58%. The export price peaked at $3,787 per ton in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
