Inedible Fish Products Price in Denmark (CIF) - 2022

The average inedible fish products import price stood at $222 per ton in 2022, falling by -19.2% against the previous year. In general, the import price saw a perceptible contraction. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2013 an increase of 32% against the previous year. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $377 per ton. From 2014 to 2022, the average import prices remained at a lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Germany ($470 per ton), while the price for Norway ($117 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Germany (+6.2%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

Inedible Fish Products Price in Denmark (FOB) - 2023

The average inedible fish products export price stood at $471 per ton in May 2023, declining by -10.4% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the export price showed a pronounced decline. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in September 2022 an increase of 51% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs at $1,369 per ton in February 2023; however, from March 2023 to May 2023, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was the United States ($1,276 per ton), while the average price for exports to Norway ($372 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From May 2022 to May 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Germany (+4.1%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Inedible Fish Products Imports in Denmark

In 2022, after two years of decline, there was significant growth in purchases abroad of inedible fish products, when their volume increased by 9.5% to 306K tons. Over the period under review, imports, however, continue to indicate a perceptible decrease.

In value terms, inedible fish products imports contracted to $68M in 2022. In general, imports, however, continue to indicate a abrupt decline. The smallest decline of -6.1% was in 2020.

In 2022, shipments abroad of inedible fish products decreased by -0.8% to 8.5K tons, falling for the second year in a row after two years of growth. Over the period under review, exports, however, continue to indicate a significant increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2020 when exports increased by 440% against the previous year. As a result, the exports reached the peak of 18K tons. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of the exports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, inedible fish products exports amounted to $33M in 2022. In general, exports, however, posted significant growth. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2020 with an increase of 133% against the previous year. As a result, the exports reached the peak of $34M. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of the exports remained at a somewhat lower figure.
