Insulated Coaxial Cable Price in Brazil (CIF) - 2023
In July 2023, the average insulated coaxial cable import price amounted to $8,770 per ton, with an increase of 11% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in August 2022 an increase of 23% month-to-month. The import price peaked at $11,599 per ton in February 2023; however, from March 2023 to July 2023, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Mexico ($15,616 per ton), while the price for China ($4,457 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Mexico (+1.0%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.
Insulated Coaxial Cable Price in Brazil (FOB) - 2022
In 2022, the average insulated coaxial cable export price amounted to $4,803 per ton, picking up by 36% against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, recorded a perceptible contraction. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the maximum at $9,224 per ton in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major overseas markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Germany ($8,488 per ton), while the average price for exports to Mexico ($2,906 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Argentina (-3.0%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.
Insulated Coaxial Cable Imports in Brazil
For the third year in a row, Brazil recorded decline in overseas purchases of insulated coaxial cables, which decreased by -24.1% to 4.6K tons in 2022. Overall, imports continue to indicate a deep contraction. The smallest decline of -1% was in 2021.
In value terms, insulated coaxial cable imports shrank to $43M in 2022. The total import value increased at an average annual rate of +1.3% over the period from 2019 to 2022; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded in certain years. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 when imports increased by 38% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of $49M, and then dropped in the following year.

From 2021 to 2022, the growth of the exports remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, insulated coaxial cable exports contracted remarkably to $16M in 2022. Over the period under review, exports recorded a abrupt slump.
