Insulated Coaxial Cable Price in Uganda (CIF) - 2022
In 2022, the average insulated coaxial cable import price amounted to $3,202 per ton, increasing by 8.9% against the previous year. Overall, the import price saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2018 when the average import price increased by 66% against the previous year. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs at $3,878 per ton in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.
As there is only one major supplying country, the average price level is determined by prices for the United Arab Emirates.
From 2012 to 2022, the rate of growth in terms of prices for China amounted to +12.0% per year.
Insulated Coaxial Cable Price in Uganda (FOB) - 2022
In 2022, the average insulated coaxial cable export price amounted to $3,687 per ton, dropping by -15.2% against the previous year. Overall, the export price continues to indicate a drastic downturn. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2019 an increase of 62% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the maximum at $8,289 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major external markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Kenya ($5,346 per ton), while the average price for exports to Burundi ($911 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Zambia (+334.9%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Insulated Coaxial Cable Imports in Uganda
In 2022, imports of insulated coaxial cables into Uganda contracted markedly to 1.9K tons, declining by -30.7% compared with the year before. Over the period under review, imports continue to indicate a deep reduction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when imports increased by 159% against the previous year.
In value terms, insulated coaxial cable imports reduced sharply to $6.1M in 2022. Overall, imports showed a perceptible curtailment. After three years of growth, shipments abroad of insulated coaxial cables decreased by -6.1% to 37 tons in 2022. In general, exports, however, saw a significant increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 with an increase of 166%.
In value terms, insulated coaxial cable exports shrank remarkably to $137K in 2022. Over the period under review, exports, however, continue to indicate a significant expansion. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2020 when exports increased by 217% against the previous year.
