The average liquefied propane import price stood at $931 per ton in 2022, with an increase of 52% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price saw a temperate expansion. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 when the average import price increased by 56% against the previous year. The import price peaked in 2022 and is expected to retain growth in the immediate term.

Average prices varied somewhat amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the highest price was recorded for prices from China ($967 per ton) and Switzerland ($967 per ton), while the price for Turkey ($689 per ton) and Italy ($724 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
