Mandarin and Clementine Price in Poland (CIF) - 2023
The average mandarin and clementine import price stood at $1,593 per ton in May 2023, with an increase of 5.6% against the previous month. In general, import price indicated perceptible growth from May 2022 to May 2023: its price increased at an average monthly rate of +4.2% over the last twelve months. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on May 2023 figures, mandarin and clementine import price increased by +48.2% against November 2022 indices. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in September 2022 an increase of 34% m-o-m. The import price peaked in May 2023.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In May 2023, the country with the highest price was Italy ($4,076 per ton), while the price for Greece ($832 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From May 2022 to May 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Albania (+8.1%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Mandarin and Clementine Price in Poland (FOB) - 2023
In June 2023, the average mandarin and clementine export price amounted to $1,334 per ton, remaining constant against the previous month. Overall, the export price recorded modest growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in March 2023 when the average export price increased by 29% month-to-month. The export price peaked in June 2023.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major external markets. In June 2023, the country with the highest price was the UK ($2,432 per ton), while the average price for exports to Lithuania ($1,017 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Belarus (+7.7%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Mandarin and Clementine Imports in Poland
In 2022, supplies from abroad of tangerines, mandarins, clementines, satsumas decreased by -6.6% to 157K tons for the first time since 2019, thus ending a two-year rising trend. Overall, imports showed a mild setback. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 when imports increased by 4.5%. As a result, imports reached the peak of 168K tons, and then dropped in the following year.
In value terms, mandarin and clementine imports reduced modestly to $172M in 2022. The total import value increased at an average annual rate of +5.6% from 2020 to 2022; the trend pattern remained consistent, with somewhat noticeable fluctuations throughout the analyzed period. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 12% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of $173M, leveling off in the following year.
