In September 2023, the average microwave oven import price amounted to $62.6 per unit, increasing by 6.6% against the previous month. In general, the import price, however, continues to indicate a slight setback. The growth pace was the most rapid in July 2023 when the average import price increased by 11% against the previous month. The import price peaked at $73.4 per unit in February 2023; however, from March 2023 to September 2023, import prices remained at a lower figure.
Average prices varied noticeably amongst the major supplying countries. In September 2023, the country with the highest price was Malaysia ($60.9 per unit), while the price for China stood at $60.3 per unit.
From September 2022 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Malaysia (-0.1%).
