Nonwoven Fabric Price in Estonia (FOB) - 2023
In September 2023, the average nonwoven fabric export price amounted to $2,743 per ton, declining by -9.1% against the previous month. Overall, the export price recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in November 2022 when the average export price increased by 25% m-o-m. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $3,744 per ton. From December 2022 to September 2023, the the average export prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In September 2023, the country with the highest price was Finland ($3,703 per ton), while the average price for exports to Russia ($2,292 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From September 2022 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Lithuania (+1.0%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Nonwoven Fabric Price in Estonia (CIF) - 2023
The average nonwoven fabric import price stood at $5,205 per ton in September 2023, dropping by -2.4% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in December 2022 when the average import price increased by 30% m-o-m. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $6,739 per ton. From January 2023 to September 2023, the average import prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Germany ($9,251 per ton), while the price for France ($2,021 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From September 2022 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Poland (+3.9%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Nonwoven Fabric Exports in Estonia
In 2022, shipments abroad of nonwoven fabrics decreased by -49.4% to 5.4K tons, falling for the second year in a row after two years of growth. Over the period under review, exports continue to indicate a drastic downturn. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 when exports increased by 69% against the previous year. As a result, the exports attained the peak of 12K tons. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of the exports remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, nonwoven fabric exports shrank significantly to $18M in 2022. Overall, exports continue to indicate a slight downturn. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2020 when exports increased by 66%.
