The average nucleic acids import price stood at $131,680 per ton in 2022, picking up by 23% against the previous year. Overall, the import price showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2020 an increase of 65%. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs at $157,692 per ton in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2022, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Ireland ($706,479 per ton), while the price for Belgium ($22,429 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
