Orange Price in the Dominican Republic (CIF) - 2023
In March 2023, the average orange import price amounted to $1,772 per ton, dropping by -7.3% against the previous month. In general, the import price showed a slight decline. The growth pace was the most rapid in December 2022 an increase of 45% month-to-month. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the maximum at $2,101 per ton in May 2022; however, from June 2022 to March 2023, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In March 2023, the country with the highest price was the United States ($1,922 per ton), while the price for Belize totaled $798 per ton.
From March 2022 to March 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Colombia (+0.3%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.
Orange Price in the Dominican Republic (FOB) - 2023
In March 2023, the average orange export price amounted to $888 per ton, picking up by 8% against the previous month. Over the period from March 2022 to March 2023, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.4%. The growth pace was the most rapid in September 2022 when the average export price increased by 27% month-to-month. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $1,052 per ton.
