Pasta Products Price in Bangladesh (FOB) - 2022
In 2022, the average pasta products export price amounted to $1,992 per ton, growing by 12% against the previous year. Over the last decade, it increased at an average annual rate of +3.6%. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2013 when the average export price increased by 36%. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs at $2,023 per ton in 2014; afterwards, it flattened through to 2022.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major export markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Poland ($2,488 per ton), while the average price for exports to Canada ($854 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the United Arab Emirates (+13.8%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Pasta Products Price in Bangladesh (CIF) - 2022
In 2022, the average pasta products import price amounted to $1,375 per ton, waning by -11.2% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2020 when the average import price increased by 43% against the previous year. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the maximum at $2,725 per ton in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2022, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Thailand ($3,566 per ton), while the price for the United Arab Emirates ($438 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Thailand (+9.7%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Pasta Products Exports in Bangladesh
After three years of growth, shipments abroad of dried, undried and frozen pasta and pasta products decreased by -16.6% to 3.6K tons in 2022. Overall, total exports indicated a prominent increase from 2019 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +19.0% over the last three-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2020 with an increase of 76%.
In value terms, pasta products exports contracted to $7.1M in 2022. In general, total exports indicated significant growth from 2019 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +23.9% over the last three-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, exports increased by +90.3% against 2019 indices.
