Price for Alkali Metals; Other than Sodium in New Zealand (CIF) - 2022

The average import price for alkali metals; other than sodia stood at $78,981 per ton in 2022, rising by 7.7% against the previous year. In general, the import price recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 an increase of 16% against the previous year. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the peak figure at $88,052 per ton in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.

Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Israel ($107,167 per ton), while the price for the United States ($55,000 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

As there is only one major export destination, the average price level is determined by prices for Fiji.
