In 2022, the average cereals; maize (corn), seed import price amounted to $2,847 per ton, declining by -9.8% against the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, recorded a mild expansion. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2018 an increase of 50%. The import price peaked at $3,622 per ton in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Slovakia ($4,370 per ton), while the price for Russia ($1,517 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Russia (+5.3%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.

Overall, the export price, however, continues to indicate a pronounced downturn. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in March 2021 when the average export price increased by 153% month-to-month. The export price peaked at $10,319 per ton in December 2020; however, from January 2021 to May 2021, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
As there is only one major export destination, the average price level is determined by prices for Russia.
From May 2020 to May 2021, the rate of growth in terms of prices for Russia amounted to -2.5% per month.

In 2022, cereals; maize (corn), seed imports into Belarus expanded notably to 15K tons, increasing by 9.5% against 2021.
