The average export price for crustacean preparations; prepared or preserved crustaceans (excluding crab, shrimps, prawns and lobster)s stood at $3,851 per ton in March 2022, declining by -6.5% against the previous month. Overall, the export price continues to indicate a mild descent. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in May 2021 when the average export price increased by 5.7% month-to-month. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the peak figure at $4,576 per ton in November 2021; however, from December 2021 to March 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
As there is only one major export destination, the average price level is determined by prices for Russia.
From March 2021 to March 2022, the rate of growth in terms of prices for Ukraine amounted to +0.1% per month.

The average import price for crustacean preparations; prepared or preserved crustaceans (excluding crab, shrimps, prawns and lobster)s stood at $8,000 per ton in February 2022, with an increase of 32% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price, however, showed a pronounced decrease. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in September 2021 an increase of 200% m-o-m. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the maximum at $16,667 per ton in May 2021; however, from June 2021 to February 2022, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
As there is only one major supplying country, the average price level is determined by prices for Ukraine.
From March 2021 to February 2022, the rate of growth in terms of prices for Ukraine amounted to +6.3% per month.

In 2022, shipments abroad of crustacean preparations; prepared or preserved crustaceans (excluding crab, shrimps, prawns and lobster)s was finally on the rise to reach 4.1K tons for the first time since 2019, thus ending a two-year declining trend. The total export volume increased at an average annual rate of +1.2% over the period from 2019 to 2022; the trend pattern remained relatively stable, with only minor fluctuations being recorded in certain years. As a result, the exports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
