In December 2023, the average export price for electric motors and generators amounted to $24.0 per unit, with an increase of 7.2% against the previous month. Over the last twelve months, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.7%. The growth pace was the most rapid in April 2023 an increase of 14% m-o-m. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs at $24.5 per unit in October 2023; however, from November 2023 to December 2023, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Brazil ($15.5 per unit), while the average price for exports to Switzerland stood at $4.8 per unit.
From December 2022 to December 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Romania (+3.0%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
