Price for Flours and Meals; of Soya Beans in India (FOB) - 2023
The average export price for flours and meals; of soya beanses stood at $922 per ton in July 2023, rising by 3.5% against the previous month. Overall, the export price, however, showed a mild decline. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in March 2023 an increase of 9.2% month-to-month. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the maximum at $1,013 per ton in November 2022; however, from December 2022 to July 2023, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major export markets. In July 2023, the country with the highest price was Mexico ($2,015 per ton), while the average price for exports to Sri Lanka ($561 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From November 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Mexico (-0.2%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.

In 2022, the average import price for flours and meals; of soya beanses amounted to $973 per ton, with an increase of 12% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, recorded a perceptible slump. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 when the average import price increased by 19%. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $1,425 per ton. From 2020 to 2022, the average import prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Japan ($3,905 per ton), while the price for Egypt ($888 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by South Korea (+17.0%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
