Price for Glass Fibre and Article in Nepal (CIF) - 2022
In 2022, the average glass fibre and article import price amounted to $1,980 per ton, which is down by -9.6% against the previous year. Over the period under review, import price indicated a modest increase from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +1.8% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. As there is only one major export destination, the average price level is determined by prices for Thailand.

In 2022, overseas shipments of glass fibres and glass fibre articles decreased by -96.8% to 34 kg for the first time since 2019, thus ending a two-year rising trend. In general, exports recorded a dramatic setback. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of 543%. As a result, the exports reached the peak of 1.1 tons, and then shrank rapidly in the following year.
