Price for Jute and Jute-Like Fibers in the Netherlands (CIF) - 2023
In July 2023, the average jute and jute-like fibers import price amounted to $4,853 per ton, falling by -60.7% against the previous month. Overall, the import price saw a slight curtailment. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in June 2023 when the average import price increased by 149% against the previous month. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $12,350 per ton, and then contracted rapidly in the following month.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Germany ($16,463 per ton), while the price for the UK ($745 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Germany (+1.2%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
