Price for Laptop and Tablet Computer in Indonesia (CIF) - 2022

The average laptop and tablet computer import price stood at $517 per unit in March 2022, remaining stable against the previous month. In general, the import price continues to indicate a pronounced descent. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in December 2021 when the average import price increased by 17% month-to-month. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the maximum at $991 per unit in October 2021; however, from November 2021 to March 2022, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

As there is only one major supplying country, the average price level is determined by prices for China.

From March 2021 to March 2022, the rate of growth in terms of prices for China amounted to -2.7% per month.

Price for Laptop and Tablet Computer in Indonesia (FOB) - 2022

In 2022, the average laptop and tablet computer export price amounted to $115 per unit, reducing by -5.1% against the previous year. In general, the export price continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 an increase of 220%. The export price peaked at $130 per unit in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was China ($174 per unit), while the average price for exports to Timor-Leste ($23 per unit) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Malaysia (+3.6%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Imports of Laptop and Tablet Computer in Indonesia

In 2022, approx. 6.7M units of laptops and palm-top computers were imported into Indonesia; with an increase of 34% against the previous year's figure. Overall, imports showed a buoyant increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 66% against the previous year. Imports peaked in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in years to come.
