In March 2022, the average export price for lubricating oil additives; containing petroleum oils or oils obtained from bituminous mineralses amounted to $2,127 per ton, dropping by -14.1% against the previous month. In general, the export price, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in September 2021 an increase of 12% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the peak figure at $2,475 per ton in February 2022, and then fell in the following month.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Germany ($4,065 per ton), while the average price for exports to Russia ($1,721 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From March 2021 to March 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Germany (+3.9%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average import price for lubricating oil additives; containing petroleum oils or oils obtained from bituminous mineralses stood at $2,624 per ton in March 2022, falling by -5.3% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in May 2021 when the average import price increased by 14% against the previous month. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $3,253 per ton. From June 2021 to March 2022, the average import prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In March 2022, the country with the highest price was China ($5,882 per ton), while the price for Russia ($2,353 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From March 2021 to March 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by China (+4.3%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.
Exports of Lubricating Oil Additives; Containing Petroleum Oils or Oils Obtained from Bituminous Minerals in Belarus
In 2022, shipments abroad of lubricating oil additives; containing petroleum oils or oils obtained from bituminous mineralses decreased by -22% to 34K tons, falling for the second consecutive year after two years of growth. Overall, exports saw a abrupt decrease. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2020 with an increase of 1.6%. As a result, the exports attained the peak of 50K tons. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of the exports of remained at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, exports of lubricating oil additives; containing petroleum oils or oils obtained from bituminous mineralses fell slightly to $88M in 2022. In general, exports, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 with an increase of 2.5%. As a result, the exports reached the peak of $90M, and then fell slightly in the following year.
