The average import price for molluscs; octopus (octopus spp.), live, fresh or chilleds stood at $10,666 per ton in November 2023, falling by -1.7% against the previous month. In general, the import price recorded a mild decline. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in June 2023 an increase of 62% month-to-month. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the maximum at $19,294 per ton in July 2023; however, from August 2023 to November 2023, import prices failed to regain momentum.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Spain ($11,037 per ton), while the price for France stood at $6,987 per ton.

From November 2022 to November 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by France (+0.4%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.
