Price for Non-Woven Glass Fibre Articles in Nigeria (CIF) - 2022
In 2022, the average non-woven glass fibre articles import price amounted to $1,712 per ton, shrinking by -18.3% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price saw a mild contraction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 when the average import price increased by 52%. The import price peaked at $3,587 per ton in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Germany ($6,474 per ton), while the price for China ($395 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Taiwan (Chinese) (+119.8%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.
Imports of Non-Woven Glass Fibre Articles in Nigeria
In 2022, supplies from abroad of non-woven glass fibre webs, felts, mattresses and boards decreased by -14.8% to 89 tons, falling for the second consecutive year after two years of growth. In general, imports showed a abrupt decline. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when imports increased by 9% against the previous year.
