In 2022, the average import price for nuts, edible; coconuts, in the inner shell (endocarp)s amounted to $1,517 per ton, rising by 15% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, saw a deep contraction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 an increase of 34%. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the peak figure at $4,596 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
