The average import price for oils and products of the distillation of high temperature coal tar; xyloles stood at $1,280 per ton in October 2023, leveling off at the previous month. Over the last twelve months, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.1%. The growth pace was the most rapid in February 2023 an increase of 19% month-to-month. The import price peaked at $1,370 per ton in August 2023; however, from September 2023 to October 2023, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Average prices varied noticeably amongst the major supplying countries. In October 2023, the highest price was recorded for prices from Slovenia ($1,380 per ton) and Slovakia ($1,278 per ton), while the price for Germany ($1,229 per ton) and the Czech Republic ($1,238 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From October 2022 to October 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by France (+3.9%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, the average export price for oils and products of the distillation of high temperature coal tar; xyloles amounted to $1,181 per ton, increasing by 79% against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, continues to indicate a pronounced slump. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the maximum at $1,715 per ton in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
As there is only one major export destination, the average price level is determined by prices for Slovenia.
From 2012 to 2022, the rate of growth in terms of prices for Slovenia amounted to +5.3% per year.

After three years of growth, purchases abroad of oils and products of the distillation of high temperature coal tar; xyloles decreased by -11.4% to 3.5K tons in 2022.
