The average import price for prefabricated buildings of plastics, concrete or aluminium stood at $4,386 per ton in November 2023, increasing by 2.8% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price, however, showed a deep slump. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in August 2023 when the average import price increased by 6.7% against the previous month. The import price peaked at $11,136 per ton in November 2022; however, from December 2022 to November 2023, import prices remained at a lower figure.
Average prices varied somewhat amongst the major supplying countries. In November 2023, the countries with the highest prices were Australia ($4,560 per ton) and the United States ($4,560 per ton), while the price for Estonia ($3,092 per ton) and Canada ($4,440 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From November 2022 to November 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Vietnam (+2.3%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

Average prices varied somewhat for the major overseas markets. In November 2023, the countries with the highest prices were French Polynesia ($5,524 per ton) and Australia ($5,524 per ton), while the average price for exports to the United States ($3,933 per ton) and Tuvalu ($5,524 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From November 2022 to November 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Tuvalu (+9.2%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
