In 2022, the average import price for solar cells and light-emitting diodes amounted to $6.7 per unit, with an increase of 2% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price, however, saw a abrupt downturn. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 when the average import price increased by 37%. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $16 per unit. From 2016 to 2022, the average import prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was France ($12 per unit), while the price for China ($4.9 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by France (-2.7%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.

The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 with an increase of 31%. Over the period under review, imports attained the maximum at $534M in 2021, and then shrank in the following year.
