The average import price for textiles; worn clothing and other worn articleses stood at $531 per ton in 2022, with an increase of 8.4% against the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, showed a pronounced contraction. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 when the average import price increased by 15% against the previous year. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the maximum at $798 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Thailand ($1,127 per ton), while the price for Japan ($378 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Pakistan (+0.4%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.

Overall, the export price recorded a slight decrease. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in June 2023 when the average export price increased by 25% month-to-month. The export price peaked at $1,006 per ton in January 2023; however, from February 2023 to January 2024, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major export markets. In January 2024, the country with the highest price was Cambodia ($1,787 per ton), while the average price for exports to the United Arab Emirates ($378 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From January 2023 to January 2024, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to India (+4.8%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
