The average export price for tobacco; partly or wholly stemmed or stripped stood at $8,936 per ton in October 2023, picking up by 15% against the previous month. Overall, export price indicated a buoyant expansion from October 2022 to October 2023: its price increased at an average monthly rate of +6.6% over the last twelve months. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on October 2023 figures, export price for tobacco; partly or wholly stemmed or stripped increased by +50.4% against August 2023 indices. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in November 2022 when the average export price increased by 49% m-o-m. The export price peaked in October 2023.
