In general, the import price continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in March 2023 when the average import price increased by 22% m-o-m. The import price peaked in September 2023.
Average prices varied somewhat amongst the major supplying countries. In September 2023, the highest price was recorded for prices from the Netherlands ($883 per ton) and Belgium ($800 per ton), while the price for Germany ($630 per ton) and France ($701 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From September 2022 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Poland (+2.0%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the maximum at $480 per ton in April 2023; however, from May 2023 to September 2023, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major overseas markets. In September 2023, the country with the highest price was Germany ($472 per ton), while the average price for exports to France ($255 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From September 2022 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the Netherlands (+0.3%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.
