In July 2023, the average winding wire of copper export price amounted to $40,555 per ton, reducing by -1.7% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the export price, however, showed a slight increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in December 2022 an increase of 31% against the previous month. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $42,236 per ton. From January 2023 to July 2023, the the average export prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major external markets. In July 2023, the country with the highest price was the Philippines ($70,080 per ton), while the average price for exports to France ($17,329 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Italy (+3.8%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

The import price peaked at $22,500 per ton in May 2023; however, from June 2023 to July 2023, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
