Price for Winding Wire, Other than of Copper in Indonesia (FOB) - 2022
The average export price for winding wire, other than of coppers stood at $33,035 per ton in 2022, waning by -39.3% against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, recorded a strong increase. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2020 an increase of 56% against the previous year. The export price peaked at $54,459 per ton in 2021, and then contracted markedly in the following year.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Singapore ($70,301 per ton), while the average price for exports to Taiwan (Chinese) ($2,478 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Bangladesh (+14.4%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average import price for winding wire, other than of coppers stood at $5,808 per ton in March 2022, picking up by 9.9% against the previous month. In general, the import price, however, saw a pronounced shrinkage. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in December 2021 when the average import price increased by 264% against the previous month. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $40,465 per ton. From January 2022 to March 2022, the average import prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In March 2022, the country with the highest price was Singapore ($55,284 per ton), while the price for China ($4,744 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From March 2021 to March 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by India (+29.9%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Exports of Winding Wire, Other than of Copper in Indonesia
For the fourth year in a row, Indonesia recorded growth in overseas shipments of winding wire, other than of coppers, which increased by 102% to 690 tons in 2022. In general, exports enjoyed a significant increase. As a result, the exports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
In value terms, exports of winding wire, other than of coppers skyrocketed to $26M in 2022. Over the period under review, exports continue to indicate a significant increase. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 when exports increased by 129%.
