Price for Wine of Fresh Grapes in Norway (CIF) - 2023
In August 2023, the average wine of fresh grapes import price amounted to $4.8 per litre, dropping by -10.4% against the previous month. Overall, the import price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in October 2022 an increase of 16% against the previous month. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $5.7 per litre. From November 2022 to August 2023, the average import prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In August 2023, the country with the highest price was France ($6.6 per litre), while the price for Chile ($2.0 per litre) was amongst the lowest.
From August 2022 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Spain (+2.7%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, the average wine of fresh grapes export price amounted to $3.3 per litre, reducing by -18.9% against the previous year. In general, the export price recorded a noticeable decline. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 an increase of 57% against the previous year. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $5.2 per litre. From 2020 to 2022, the average export prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Denmark ($4.8 per litre), while the average price for exports to Sweden ($2.6 per litre) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Finland (+0.8%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.

Over the period under review, imports attained the maximum at $483M in 2021, and then contracted in the following year.
