Radiator Price in the Netherlands (CIF) - 2022
The average radiator import price stood at $3,679 per ton in 2021, growing by 13% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, continues to indicate a slight reduction. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2016 when the average import price increased by 16%. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the peak figure at $4,259 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was the Czech Republic ($11,693 per ton), while the price for Poland ($1,485 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the Czech Republic (+10.3%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Radiator Price in the Netherlands (FOB) - 2022
In 2021, the average radiator export price amounted to $2,918 per ton, jumping by 18% against the previous year. Overall, the export price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The export price peaked at $2,962 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major overseas markets. In 2021, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was the Czech Republic ($4,234 per ton), while the average price for exports to Poland ($1,967 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the Czech Republic (+9.7%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Radiator Imports in the Netherlands
After three years of growth, purchases abroad of radiators for central heating (not electrically heated) decreased by -17% to 33K tons in 2022. The total import volume increased at an average annual rate of +2.7% from 2019 to 2022; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 with an increase of 26% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of 40K tons, and then fell notably in the following year.
In value terms, radiator imports amounted to $149M in 2022. In general, total imports indicated resilient growth from 2019 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +14.3% over the last three-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by +49.2% against 2019 indices. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 when imports increased by 42% against the previous year. Imports peaked in 2022 and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

Radiator Exports in the Netherlands

Over the period under review, exports continue to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 when exports increased by 12%.
In value terms, radiator exports contracted slightly to $139M in 2022. In general, total exports indicated a resilient expansion from 2019 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +12.8% over the last three-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, exports increased by +43.4% against 2019 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 29% against the previous year. As a result, the exports reached the peak of $142M, and then declined modestly in the following year.
