Static Converter Price in the Philippines (FOB) - 2022
In 2022, the average static converter export price amounted to $121 per unit, which is down by -5.1% against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, recorded a significant expansion. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2019 when the average export price increased by 249%. The export price peaked at $128 per unit in 2021, and then contracted in the following year.
Average prices varied noticeably for the major export markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the countries with the highest prices were the Netherlands ($121 per unit) and Mexico ($121 per unit), while the average price for exports to Taiwan (Chinese) ($121 per unit) and China ($121 per unit) were amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the Netherlands (+23.3%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Static Converter Price in the Philippines (CIF) - 2022
In 2022, the average static converter import price amounted to $121 per unit, increasing by 5.7% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price saw resilient growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2019 an increase of 166%. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the peak figure in 2022 and is expected to retain growth in the near future.
Average prices varied noticeably amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the highest price was recorded for prices from India ($121 per unit) and Thailand ($121 per unit), while the price for China ($121 per unit) and Germany ($121 per unit) were amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by China (+29.1%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Static Converter Exports in the Philippines
In 2022, static converter exports from the Philippines rose sharply to 10M units, growing by 9.1% on 2021. Over the period under review, exports, however, faced a dramatic decrease. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of 20%. The exports peaked at 20M units in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, static converter exports expanded slightly to $1.2B in 2022. In general, exports, however, recorded a perceptible curtailment. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 with an increase of 40%. Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs at $1.4B in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, the exports remained at a lower figure.

Static Converter Imports in the Philippines
For the third year in a row, the Philippines recorded decline in overseas purchases of static converters, which decreased by -11% to 2.6M units in 2022. In general, imports showed a drastic downturn. The smallest decline of -0.4% was in 2021. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum at 4.9M units in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, static converter imports fell to $316M in 2022. Overall, imports saw a abrupt slump. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 with an increase of 7.3%. Imports peaked at $411M in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.
