Stationery Product Price in Turkey (FOB) - 2023

The average stationery product export price stood at $3,034 per ton in July 2023, increasing by 8% against the previous month. Overall, the export price saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in February 2023 an increase of 11% against the previous month. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $3,563 per ton. From March 2023 to July 2023, the the average export prices remained at a lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Italy ($7,132 per ton), while the average price for exports to Moldova ($1,357 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the UK (+6.1%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average stationery product import price stood at $1,942 per ton in July 2023, reducing by -43.7% against the previous month. In general, the import price continues to indicate a mild downturn. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in June 2023 when the average import price increased by 163% m-o-m. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $3,449 per ton, and then contracted rapidly in the following month.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Germany ($5,347 per ton), while the price for Russia ($731 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Germany (+10.9%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

Stationery product exports from Turkey contracted significantly to 24K tons in 2022, waning by -46.7% compared with 2021. In general, exports, however, saw a pronounced increase. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 when exports increased by 117%. As a result, the exports reached the peak of 46K tons, and then reduced notably in the following year.

In value terms, stationery product exports fell dramatically to $82M in 2022. Overall, exports, however, showed a strong expansion. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of 145% against the previous year. As a result, the exports reached the peak of $122M, and then fell rapidly in the following year.

Stationery Product Imports in Turkey

For the fourth year in a row, Turkey recorded growth in overseas purchases of stationery products, which increased by 31% to 5.4K tons in 2022. Over the period under review, imports recorded a significant expansion. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of 62%. Imports peaked in 2022 and are likely to see gradual growth in the near future.

In value terms, stationery product imports declined rapidly to $9.9M in 2022. Overall, imports, however, continue to indicate a abrupt descent. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 when imports increased by 116%. As a result, imports attained the peak of $14M, and then declined notably in the following year.
