Vices and Clamps Price in Sri Lanka (CIF) - 2022
In 2022, the average vices and clamps import price amounted to $4,447 per ton, declining by -9% against the previous year. In general, import price indicated a moderate expansion from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +4.9% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, vices and clamps import price increased by +21.1% against 2020 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 an increase of 46% against the previous year. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the peak figure at $5,385 per ton in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was the United Arab Emirates ($24,150 per ton), while the price for India ($3,766 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the United Arab Emirates (+20.7%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Vices and Clamps Price in Sri Lanka (FOB) - 2022
The average vices and clamps export price stood at $7,520 per ton in 2022, increasing by 5.5% against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, showed a pronounced shrinkage. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 when the average export price increased by 35% against the previous year. The export price peaked at $10,857 per ton in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major export markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Singapore ($29,926 per ton), while the average price for exports to India ($3,104 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Singapore (+36.2%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Vices and Clamps Imports in Sri Lanka
In 2022, approx. 144 tons of vices and clamps were imported into Sri Lanka; picking up by 26% against the previous year's figure. Overall, imports, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of 31% against the previous year.
In value terms, vices and clamps imports expanded remarkably to $642K in 2022. In general, imports, however, continue to indicate a abrupt slump. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 74%.
