At the same time, South Sudan (X%), Morocco (X%), Mauritius (X%), Mozambique (X%) and Djibouti (X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, South Sudan emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in Africa, with a CAGR of X% from 2012-2023. By contrast, Lesotho (X%), Namibia (X%) and Cote d'Ivoire (X%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. Morocco (X p.p.), Mozambique (X p.p.), Djibouti (X p.p.), Mauritius (X p.p.) and South Sudan (X p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the total imports, while Cote d'Ivoire, Somalia and Namibia saw its share reduced by X%, X% and X% from 2012 to 2023, respectively. Import price indicated a prominent increase from 2012 to 2023: its price increased at an average annual rate of X% over the last eleven-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period.
