In 2022, supplies from abroad of brushes constituting parts of appliances decreased by X% to X units for the first time since 2019, thus ending a two-year rising trend. In general, imports, however, enjoyed a prominent expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 with an increase of X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports reached the peak figure at X units in 2021, and then shrank in the following year.

In value terms, appliance part brush imports declined rapidly to $X in 2022. Total imports indicated a perceptible increase from 2012 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of X% over the last decade. Imports into Russia increased at an average annual rate of X% from 2012 to 2022. At the same time, Belarus (X%), Latvia (X%), Lithuania (X%) and Romania (X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Belarus emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in Eastern Europe, with a CAGR of X% from 2012-2022. By contrast, Poland (X%), Ukraine (X%), the Czech Republic (X%) and Hungary (X%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. Poland (X p.p.), Belarus (X p.p.), Hungary (X p.p.), the Czech Republic (X p.p.), Romania (X p.p.), Latvia (X p.p.) and Lithuania (X p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the total imports, while Ukraine and Russia saw its share reduced by X% and X% from 2012 to 2022, respectively.

In value terms, Poland ($X), Russia ($X) and the Czech Republic ($X) appeared to be the countries with the highest levels of imports in 2022, together comprising X% of total imports. Hungary, Belarus, Romania, Ukraine, Lithuania and Latvia lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further X%.

Latvia, with a CAGR of X%, saw the highest growth rate of the value of imports, among the main importing countries over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
